FMR joins letter opposing House and Senate environmental bills
FMR is proud to be a signatory on a pair of letters to the Minnesota House of Representatives and Minnesota Senate asking members to vote ‘no’ on the Omnibus Environment and Natural Resources budget bills.
These unprecedented bills (SF 723 and HF 888):
- Roll back bedrock environmental protections
- Defund investments in clean water
- Reduce transparency and public input in environmental decision-making and
- Add unnecessary costs and delays to environmental decision-making.
The floor letters
Floor letters offer our perspective on legislation to the full House and Senate membership as they debate environmental bills in their respective chambers. You can view our floor letters detailing our concerns with these bad environmental bills here:
These anti-environmental bills fail Minnesotans who value clean water and want to enjoy safe and healthy rivers, lakes, streams and wetlands.
